Cowbridge staff and students have celebrated the European Day of languages today!
26th September is an annual Europe-wide day of celebration to promote language learning and the fun of languages! In Cowbridge students relished the opportunity to taste a variety of European food include German Schokolade, French brioche and pain au chocolat, Polish ham, Spanish chorizo, Greek feta cheese, Welsh cakes and Italian cake. The only requirement was that they had to ask for the food in either French, German, Welsh or Spanish! Key Stage 3 students tasting some delicious European food and trying out their language skills. |

In Welsh, French and German lessons students also took on the logo challenge! Students had to work out whether the logos were of Welsh, French, German or Swiss companies and also what their products or services were! We wanted to raise students' awareness of the huge possibilities for working in international companies where their language skills will be valued and rewarded!
